Shark reef Las Vegas

Shark reef Mandalay Bay Review

In my Shark reef Mandalay Bay review I’ll explain why I believe you should visit during your stay in Las Vegas.

Highest Standards Of Animal Care

Unlike most aquariums, Shark reef is accredited by the association of zoos and aquariums. Which means they are dedicated to the highest standards of animal care and it shows. For example, they make sure that the weaker piranhas get to eat too. Piranhas are vicious and if Shark reef didn’t intervene. Only the strongest would survive. Since they clean the tanks almost every day. Odds are that you will see divers cleaning the tank during your visit. Personally I think this adds to the beauty of the sunken ship. The divers are very careful so that they will not disturb the sharks. They add a magical feel to the whole sunken ship experience.

Endangered Species

First of all, there are only two other aquariums in America that are bigger than Shark reef At Mandalay Bay. That in itself, is a good reason to visit. As a result you can see over 2000 species here. Furthermore it has become home to several endangered species. Such as Galapagos sharks and green sea turtles. For this reason I recomend visiting Shark Reef. It’s important to realize that since some are endangered species. You may not get another chance to see them anywhere else! Therefore might as well take advantage of to opportunity to see them here.

Fun Facts

  • Third largest tank in America at 1,300,000 gal ( 4,900,000 l)
  • Shark reef at Mandalay Bay was the first closed system aquarium to exhibit a great hammerhead shark.

Conclusion

To conclude my Shark Reef Mandalay Bay Review. If you love marine life and want to see it in a healthy environment. Please visit Shark reef at Mandalay bay. Not only will you get to witness over 2000 species. But you will also get to see many endangered species! It’s a wonderful break from gambling. Your admission fee helps fund the aquarium. Basically your money is going to help keep endangered species alive.
