Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center

Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center

The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center features over 40 full size skeletons and a baby woolly mammoth. This little gal still has fur on her. Since it’s a resource center, fossils and bones are prepared here then shipped all over the world for people to enjoy. Come see them here before they get shipped somewhere else.  Keep in mind that exhibits here change on a regular basis which means that you can visit regularly and see different dinosaurs every time.

Rare Exhibits

Including the largest Quetzalcoatlus skeleton, I have ever seen. Being that it’s more than twice my height, I imagine that I would have been a bite size snack for this dinosaur. My favorite part was that a lot of the dinosaurs have been placed in active poses. It gives the skeletons life. Also, this is one of the few dinosaur exhibits where you can get a free tour. There is so much to see here and a guided tour is the best way to learn all there is to know about what you are seeing.  Guided tours by the experienced staff are included with all admissions and run often.

Quetzalcoatlus

Tons of Marine Species!

Overall, the marine exhibit is a little crowded but it’s so much fun to see so many marine skeletons all in one place . A lot of them are suspended giving you the feeling that you are walking through the ocean. The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center is one of the best dinosaur exhibits in the region.
