National WWII Museum

The National WWII Museum is ranked among the top ten best museums in the United States. Also, it was designated as America’s official WWII Museum by the U.S. Congress. On a huge six-acre campus, there are five permanent exhibits. Including the Arsenal of democracy, the Road To Tokyo, the Road to Berlin, the D-Day invasion, the US Merchant Marines and numerous traveling exhibits.
It features immersive exhibits, multimedia experiences, and a huge collection of WWII artifacts from all over the globe. Best of all there are recreated battle sites and beaches, jungles and bunkers to give you a real feel of what the people experience during the war.
As if the museum wasn’t big enough, in 2020 the Liberation Pavillion will open. Which will display the costs and joys of freedom. Most of all, it will feature Anne Frank, concentration camps and the fruits of victory.
All in all, the National WWII Museum is the most informative site about the American side of WWII. So make sure you go see it while visiting New Orleans.
