The Tahyo Tavern: Drink So Dogs Can Eat

Come drink for a good cause at the Tahyo Tavern in New Orleans! All proceeds go to feed dogs at the Villalobos Rescue Center in Louisiana. Tia Torres owns this place along with the Villalobos Rescue Center family. As a matter of fact, the Villalobos Rescue Center is the Pit Bull rescue that is featured on Animal Planet’s “Pit Bulls & Parolees”

Originally the rescue was for wolves and half wolves but since pit bulls are considered a difficult breed, it quickly turned into a pit bull rescue. It is now the biggest pit bull rescue facility in the country.

The tavern was opened in January 2017 to help subsidize the Villalobos Rescue Center.  Provided that all of the waiters here also work at the animal rescue, it’s one of the few places you are guaranteed service by a dog lover.  It’s great service too. Everyone here is friendly.  The food was delicious and the beer ice cold. What more could you possibly ask for?  Come try it out for yourself.  While you do, you’ll be feeding a dog in need.
